VIP 2: New Leaf Club - Philadelphia

The leaders of Next Level Vision Impact 2 Philadelphia created Happiness, Acceptance and Passion (HAP). We envisioned a world where all humans are accepted for who they are and the amazing qualities that they have to contribute to society. Our vision was to stand in support of those who have been impacted by drug and alcohol abuse as we worked to assist the community in providing a safe, educational, fun, and drug- and alcohol-free environment.

In just 6 ½ weeks we created a huge vision, generated unstoppable excitement, and impacted a local community.

Our Objectives:

MaDE AN IMpact In Philadelphia, drug overdose deaths have spiked in recent years, with nearly 700 such deaths in 2015.  That number surged to 900 in 2016, nearly a 30 percent increase.  Young adults, families and children are all impacted from drug and alcohol abuse.  Our commitment was to provide support to increase awareness of the impact that drug and alcohol abuse had on communities. Working with the New Leaf Club we stood for those impacted by drug and alcohol abuse with supporting an organization that provided a space and activities to promote a healthy connected lifestyle.  We collaborated with them to create a community with Happiness in their lives, to foster Acceptance for all, and to promote a space which allows individuals to express their Passion.

RaiseD Funds We raised $28,000 by September 6th, 2017. We supported The New Leaf Club, a Philadelphia area community service organization. The donations we raised provided assistance to The New Leaf Club and their outreach programs such as Healthy Habitats, a recovery living community; Behavioral Wellness and Recovery, Restoring Hope Renewing Life, a Family Focused Treatment; and Eddie’s House, to support kids that age out of foster care. We secured one corporate sponsor to support alcohol and drug recovery programs. Donations will be used to directly support The New Leaf Club or other qualified not-for-profit programs/organizations within the community that The New Leaf Club supports.

Spread Awareness Our vision was to raise awareness about The New Leaf Club’s mission to connect young people and adults to their whole, healthy, and artistic selves. The actuality of this mission benefited children, young adults, families, and the entire community.  We connected with the local college communities as well as the high school communities.  We created a Salsa/Dance Class event, a Dance-a-Thon Event and coordinated donations from area businesses to provide food and drinks for these events. We worked with news media such as ABC news.

Big boost for the New Leaf Club

ROSEMONT, Pa. (WPVI) --

A non-profit community center on the main line, got a big financial boost Wednesday, thanks to the kindness of strangers.
The New Leaf Club, in Rosement, is dedicated to helping teenagers overcome problems, like chemical dependency and depression.

Local residents presented a check for $28,000 dollars to the club.

The money was raised as part of community service project called Next Level, which used social media to raise funds.
In a span of a month, this was the end result, a big donation that will ensure the future the New Leaf club's future.
